Doing Business with Russia? You should be certified! - Join Albion Overseas' free webinar on 22nd February 2018
Trade between the UK and Russia grew by a massive 20% in 2017, prompting the Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, to say: “…it’s good news that Russian customers are now buying loads of British goods, from crisps to Bentleys...”
Around 90% of products exported from the UK to Russia require some kind of certificate; and those that don't may still need, for example, a Letter of Exemption. It is critical to get these right, as errors will be costly if goods arrive at the Russian border with incorrect documentation. And this is the responsibility of the exporter, not the importer.
Whilst some exporters see product certification as a barrier to trade, the reality is that the process is very manageable and the cost of obtaining certificates is not as high as many exporters anticipate, nor indeed as high as some agencies try to charge.
For many years Albion Overseas has been successfully obtaining certification for companies, large and small, across many industry sectors. Our free webinar, starting at 11.00am on Thursday 22nd February 2018, is based upon our 21 years of working with Russia and is designed to give you an overview of the Russian product certification system, why these documents are important and how to obtain them. Our experienced certification team will also be on hand to offer help with EAC Certificates and Declarations, State Registrations, FSB approvals and others. If you are a current or prospective exporter to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus or Armenia, this webinar is for you.
